HKUMed students to engage as observers at the 15th National Games 🔥🔥
The initiative enables 20 medical students to gain first-hand exposure by observing medical teams during the Games, learning essential skills in sports medicine, emergency care, and clinical collaboration.
To prepare students for this experience, orientation sessions were conducted by Dr Matthew Tsui, Deputy Hospital Chief Executive (Hospital Services) of Queen Mary Hospital, providing essential insights into emergency scene management for sporting events and operational workflows of the Games’ medical teams.
In addition, Prof Tak-man Wong, Chief Convenor of the HKUMed Sports Health initiative, will join the medical team in Zhanjiang, providing support for athletes competing in Wushu events.
Taking learning beyond the classroom - HKUMed teachers and students are ready to experience sports medicine in action! 🚴♂️🤺🏉⛹️♀️ 🏅🏅
